Dūcenis, rūcenis, žūža or švrikstenis is an ancient toy, known since the 12th century and serves as both an entertainment and skill training tool for children. The unique feature of this toy is its ability to make a sound when it is quickly turned with a string – this whistling, roaring or singing effect occurs due to its special design and rotation speed.
