On March 21, from 11:00 to 18:00, the annual World Wood Day will take place at Vienkoči Park as a regional event dedicated to woodworking traditions, knowledge, and skills.

During the event, visitors will have the opportunity to learn about various woodworking crafts and techniques by observing the work of artisans on site. The programme includes the following activities: wood carving, wooden spoon making, restoration of historical wooden windows, tool sharpening, wood inlay, as well as the making of guitars and wooden skis.

At 13:00, a guided tour will take place in the Woodworking Museum, during which visitors will be able to learn about the history of woodworking and gain insight into different tree species and their uses.

The event will also feature an antique tool shop, where traditional tools can be viewed and purchased, as well as blacksmithing demonstrations in the Vienkoči Park forge, showcasing traditional tool-making techniques.

World Wood Day is suitable for families as well as for anyone interested in learning more about woodworking traditions and contemporary craftsmanship.
